Customized Transfer Deck System: Ready to Ship!

One size rarely fits all.

Customized solutions allow you to get the most out of your production, improve efficiency and boost your bottom line.

A few years ago, we were excited about finishing up a new transfer deck system for one of our clients.

Let’s take a look back at the project.

A new material handling system

After months of design and fabrication work, our latest material handling system for the wood treating industry, what we call a transfer deck system, was ready for shipment to our client.

This deck was unique in that it was moved laterally with large hydraulic rams that were attached to the client’s current drip pad area.

These rams were designed to move the deck over eight feet in distance while it is fully loaded with pressure-treated dimensional lumber.

In order to avoid possible contact between the rams and forklifts, that load and unload the lumber off the deck, we designed the system so the rams would reside under the deck’s main structure.

Once installed at the client’s site, we fabricated a steel structure around the ram’s end attached to the pad. This helps minimize any damage to the ram’s outer housing if a forklift does contact it.

Design, manufacture, install

As our client learned, there’s a lot of value in working with one company that can be with you from the design process to the manufacturing stage and take you seamlessly through the installation phase.

Maintenance and repair are also key components.

Who better to service your equipment than the ones who designed, built and installed it?

Plus, you’ll save money – and time – by not having to outsource for each step in the process.

Does your process need an overhaul?

The bottom line is that increased production and efficiency – along with reduced downtime – can make all the difference for meeting your revenue goals.

When you make the choice to work with an experienced leader in the industry, you can count on seeing results – just like our client did with a customized transfer deck system.

Which of your systems are in need of an update?
